This is a photo shoot Sue and I have looked forward to ever since it was first discussed.
Our location was Devon, which in itself is a great place, but we were then photographing inside an old Tannery.
It’s a six generation business, a real rarity these days, with very traditional methods of working which I know we would never have been able to see without doing the job we do.
We found some delightful treasures as we made our way around the Tannery, items which really made this more like a history lesson. The best way I have to describe the shoot was like ‘walking around a working museum’.
The photographs are all taken in Natural Light, which ranged from Low, to very Low Light through Atmospheric and then back to Low Light again, apart from one setup which called for a little input from a Canon Speedlight.
Here are just a few of our favourite images.
